Brent Wilhite

Searcy Church of Christ

My name is Brent Wilhite, and I was born and raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas. I grew up on a dairy farm watching my parents and grandparents milk the cows. I knew cows were not my calling and I left for Searcy in 1994 following high school. I graduated from Harding University in 1999 with a bachelors degree in biology and education and with minors in Bible and kinesiology. I graduated with a Master of Ministry degree from Harding University in 2012. I have been married to my wife, Tisha, for 20 years. We have two sons, Jadyn who will be a junior at Harding University, and Hudson who will be a junior at Harding Academy.

After graduating college in 1999, I began teaching and coaching in Carrollton, Texas, and continued my education career later in Plano, Texas. In 2006 I transitioned out of education beginning full time work with the Ridgewood Church of Christ in Beaumont, Texas as a youth and education minister. In 2007 God led us to Searcy, Arkansas to work with the College Church of Christ. There I served as children’s minister and youth and family minister. I switched gears in October of 2021 learning to sell insurance. In 2024 I began driving a school bus and soon joined their office staff. God has brought me full circle back into education in a different role. In July of 2025, I will become the Director of Transportation for Searcy Public Schools.

My family and I attend the Searcy Church of Christ. We love serving, teaching, and preaching to the wonderful people God brings us. I love family time, angel walks with my bride, and shenanigans with my boys, and great movies! I am so excited and thankful for the opportunity to be with you. I am deeply humbled to share God’s word with you.
