Kent Jobe

The Contagion of Complaint (Numbers 11)

Kent Jobe is originally from Early, Texas and is a 1996 graduate of Harding University. He married Cara Wilson of Pocahontas, Arkansas in June of 1997. 

He received his master’s degree from Southern Christian (now Amridge) University in Montgomery, Alabama in 1999 and his doctorate degree from Harding School of Theology in May of 2021.

Kent served alongside the College Avenue Church of Christ in El Dorado, Arkansas for 21 years and has served as the lead minister for the Downtown Church of Christ in Searcy since May 2022. Cara teaches second grade at Harding Academy.

Kent and Cara have three children: Derek and his wife, Gracie live in Springdale, AR with their granddaughter Ella; Austin will be a Senior this fall at Harding University; and Brylee will be a Senior at Harding Academy this fall.

Kent and Cara spend their spare time watching Austin pitch for the Bison baseball team and Brylee do her thing with the Academy chorus and whatever drama production is up next.
