What brought you to West Side?

I originally came to West Side my freshman year because I had a connection with Coach Rags (Dr. Scott Ragsdale). Since then, coach has moved to a different congregation, but I have become close to many people at West Side, and it has become a church family for me. I placed membership at West Side about two years ago after moving to Searcy permanently after being hired at Harding Academy.

Help us get to know you better.

I work at Harding Academy. I teach high school math and coach. Specifically, I teach Algebra 2 and Statistics, and I am the head coach for cross country and track and field for both boys and girls, senior high and junior high. I have taught for two years and am about to begin my third year!

What’s a scripture that has impacted your life?

Colossians 3:23 - working hard at everything whether it is school, athletics, or my job.

Who was someone who was inspirational in your life?

Coach Joe Bill Dixon, my high school cross country coach. He was also an elder at my church and often taught my Bible class when I was growing up.

What’s something you’re looking forward to?

Completing my masters degree and being done with taking classes for a while.
