What would you like to share with us to help us know you better?
I first came to West Side because someone I was dating invited me to church with him. I have been at West Side since then. I’ve been a member for 20 years. I graduated from Cabot high school. I got an associate degree at ASU Beebe. My college acceptance is pending at this time to further my nursing education. If it is God’s will, I will enroll in school in January to continue in the nursing program. Nursing is dear to my heart. I’m truly happy with that decision. I never thought that I would work in psychiatric care, but I do. My dream is ultimately to be labor and delivery or to teach nursing.
Have you learned any new skills lately?
Trying to learn study habits and nutrition balance.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I wish that I could remove drugs and evil from this world.
Who is an inspirational person in your life?
There are two inspirational ladies who have died. One was a member here at West Side: Norma Lou Rollman. Norma Lou welcomed me to West Side. I think she was one of the first people introduced to me. Norma Lou was a true symbol of what it looks like to be a Christian. She was a loving and caring individual and she seemed to always have things together. The second one was a lady from my childhood, Jean Besancon. Ms. Jean was a friend of my family and she helped the family out. She began by taking my sister and me to church on Sunday morning. She stayed in our lives and we could always go to her.
How do you like to show love to others?
I love to cook . I think this is how I show love. I try to take care of others. I want to help if there is any way that I can.
