July and August 2025
Dear Brethren,
Grace and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Here is a quick update about my work for the months of July and August 2025.
STOCKHOLM LECTURESHIP:
On Saturday, the 9th and Sunday the 20th of July, 2025, we had our 5th Annual Bible lectureship in Stockholm. I was asked to be one of the speakers. Besides my family and myself who attended from Dusseldorf Church, other brothers and sisters also travelled from Bremen, Hamburg, Italy and Poland to attend the lectureship in Stockholm.
PICNIC
The Dusseldorf Church organized a summer picnic at the park in Cologne, Germany on the 5th of July.
BAPTISM:
The Lord added two souls (Justina and Ernestina) to His Kingdom on July 27th. I started studying the Bible with the two ladies last May.
NEW MEMBERS:
Sister Esi has been living in Germany but had never met with the Church of Christ. She had only been listening and watching Churches of Christ programs on social media. She travelled to Ghana for the holidays and was baptized at Kumasi. Upon her return to Germany, she has started worshipping with the Dusseldorf Church of Christ as of August 31st.
ILLNESS:
Sister Mary, who started worshipping with us in April this year, has been diagnosed with cancer and a swollen liver. She has been in the hospital since August 1st. Her husband passed away in November, 2024. She has no family members here in Germany, so as Stella and I live closest to her and have been assisting her. On Sunday, August 24th, the doctor who is treating her gave me a call and told me that she wanted to talk to me. When I got to the hospital, the doctor explained to me that sister Mary’s condition is very complicated, she has a tumor in her womb and her head. Besides that, the cancer has spread in her stomach. As a result, she is expected to pass away anytime.
FAMILY:
Stella is doing well. I have been suffering pain in my eyes and will undergo minor surgery by next month to remove pterygium from my right eye. Please continue to pray for us. Until our next Newsletter for September/October.
