“Who Is Jesus and Why Did He Die?”

Steve and his wife, Sandy, moved to Conway and to the Robinson & Center congregation in September 2009 after fifteen years with the North Heights church in Batesville, Arkansas.  Steve is an Arkansan by birth.  Sandy was born and raised in Michigan, though by southern parents.  Sandy’s parents, Upton & Jo Shelton, were members at West Side for nearly 40 years.

Steve and Sandy have three daughters:  Lindsey, Leeann, and Whitney, and four grandchildren: Kade, Zoe, Jude, and Luke.  Lindsey and her husband, Keith, work with the Lewisville, Texas church in Dallas-metro area where Keith is the preaching minister.  Leeann and Jordan live in Conway.  Leeann is a professor at Harding, and Jordan is a therapist and co-owner of Renew Counseling and Wellness.  Whitney, the youngest, is a therapist and co-owner of Little Rock Counseling in West Little Rock.

Steve has been preaching full-time for forty-eight years.  Steve and Sandy met when he went to Michigan to attend the Bristol Road School of Biblical Studies there, right out of high school.  After graduation there, he continued his education and has earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harding University.
