May and June 2026
Dear Brethren,
Grace and peace from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Here is a quick update about my work for the months of May and June 2026.
MARRIAGES:
We had two marriages in June. Brother Vincent travelled to Ghana on 31st May and got married on the 6th of June to Dorothy. Brother Eric also traveled to Ghana on 1st June ad got married on the 13th of June. Both brothers have since returned to Germany after commencement of visa process to bring over their wives to Germany.
NEW MEMBERS:
In the last two months, we have had five new members at the Dusseldorf Church of Christ: 1) Gabriella Addison (her late grandfather was a deacon at Tema Vertical Centre), 2) Amponsah (his late father was at Vertical Centre and used to work with Rural Water Development Project). 3) Hellie, who is from Malawi. She is in Germany to do her Masters and now worshiping with us. 4) Courage Ayim is from the McCarthy Hill Church of Christ in Accra, Ghana. He has also moved to Germany and now worshipping with us. 5) Finally, Sister Blessing, from Nigeria, is also doing her Masters here in Germany and has been worshipping with us since April but I forgot to mention her in my March /April Newsletter. We have been blessed as we continue to grown in numbers here.
DEATH OF SISTER MARY ADDAI
Mary, who lived in Italy, left for Ghana and had relocated here in Germany and was worshipping with us as well. I visited Sister Mary at the hospital on the 20th of May. Her condition had deteriorated so much, then the following day I visited her again in the morning. There I was told she doesn’t have much time left to live and that anything could happen in the next few hours so I should go to a funeral home and make arrangements. From the hospital I went straight to sister Victoria’s workplace and picked her up to accompany me to the funeral home. On our way to the funeral home, about 45 minutes after I left the hospital, I had a call from a nurse with the news of the death of Sister Mary.
Since Sister Mary does not have any family member here in Germany or anywhere in Europe, I spoke by phone with her brother and the oldest son. None of them could afford to come over or send money for the body to be conveyed to Ghana. Instead, they gave me a power of attorney to bury their loved one here in Germany. The late Sister Mary was laid to rest on the 30th of May after passing away on 21st May.
FAMILY:
Stella and I are in good health by the grace of God. Please continue to pray for us. Until our next Newsletter for July/August 2026.
Stay Blessed,
Eddie, Stella and Esther Dadzie.
