March and April 2025

Dear Brethren,
Grace and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Here is a quick update about my work for the months of March and April 2025.

NEW MEETING PLACE
On Sunday the 2nd of March 2025, the Dusseldorf Church moved into a new meeting place which has four extra rooms for the teen-agers class, pre-baptismal class, children's class, office and storage. The new meeting place has indeed helped solve the long-standing challenges of getting special classes for our visitors and teenagers.

VISITORS CLASS
Since we started worshipping at our new place on Sunday the 2nd of March 2025 and started visitors class, we have an average number of 7 visitors (un-baptized) on every Sunday who attend visitors’ class.  It is a very good opportunity for evangelism.

TRAVELS
Sister Glory, who travelled to her home country (Nigeria) for the first time in thirteen years with her youngest child on Saturday the 11th of January, has returned safely to Germany.

Brother Derrick, who travelled to Jordon and Ghana for his school project six months ago, returned to Germany on the 19th of April and has since been working in the church.

A METHODIST FRIEND
Robert, “an unofficial Methodist priest” and a friend of mine for over 10 years in Vicenza Italy, has relocated to Germany. We hosted him the number of times he came to Germany to process his document. We also looked for an apartment for him as he plans to bring his family here in Germany. Robert has since been worshipping with us.

JONES
In another development, Jones Appiah whose wife and mother-in-law are members of the Church, reached out to me for assistance so he and his family can also relocate to Germany.  On Saturday the 22nd of March 2025, Jones arrived from Pordenone, Italy to the Essen main train station by bus where I met him and took him home. We hosted him for 10 days before we were able to get him a mini apartment. He has since started working.  He needs to work and have three months’ pay slips before he can rent and conducive apartment and bring his family over. I am thankful to God that Jones has been worshipping with us since he came to Germany. I hope in my next newsletter you will be reading about Jones baptism.

GERMANY YOUTH LECTURESHIP
I organized a Germany youth lectureship from Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th of April. It was the first of its kind. Churches who participated were Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, Bremen and Darmstadt. All of the youth who attended the program resolved that we make this program an annual event. For the next few years, the Dusseldorf Church of Christ will continue to host the program until other congregations can have the capabilities of hosting.

NEW MEMBERS
Sister Akua, who lives about 8 minutes’ walk away from my residence, was a member of the Lord’s Church in Kumasi, Ghana.  She has been here for 10 years. After many invitations, she finally started worshipping with us on the 9th of March and has since continued to meet with us.  On the 13th of April, we had two new members from Ghana. Richmond from Takoradi, Ghana is here for a six-month exchange program, and Stephen from Kumasi is here to work.

QUARTERLY PERIODICALS
In March, I launched my first Quarterly Periodicals named “The Encourager”. This is a vision I have had for about 15 years. I asked Sister Jane of Stockholm Church and Brother Derrick of Dusseldorf to contribute an article each. We distributed it in soft copy format to over a thousand people both Christians and non-Christians via WhatsApp.

FAMILY:
Stella and I are in good health. Please continue to pray for us. Until our next Newsletter for May/June.

Stay Blessed,
Eddie, Stella and Esther Dadzie.

1st Worship at our new premises.
